First United Methodist School (FUMS), in partnership with home and church, seeks to prepare our students to face the challenges of tomorrow. It is our goal to be a greenhouse for your child. A seed is often placed within a greenhouse to establish a strong root system and a sturdy stem before it is placed in the outdoors’ world amidst the varying elements. We take your child from preschool through fifth grade and give them a solid root system upon a firm foundation by educating them spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. When a child leaves FUMS he/she is ready to face the challenges of middle school. Schools throughout our area are thrilled to receive an FUMS graduate. A majority of our students continue a successful academic career by graduating in the top 10% of the graduating class.
